About Me

“Jan brings her therapeutic harp music to the bedside of patients and their families and exemplifies the integration of music, spirituality, and caring presence." - Annie.

My Mandate

My journey in therapeutic music began with the desire to combine my love of music with my experiences as a hospital chaplain. Playing therapeutic harp music was a perfect fit. I meet the listener’s in-the-moment needs to create a dynamic healing environment with live music conducive to anxiety and stress reduction, pain management and discomfort, positive mood changes, and normalizing blood pressure.

Personalized, live, therapeutic music is recognized as an essential service within the healthcare system. I am board-certified in therapeutic music and have extensive experience in various settings. I embody strong interpersonal skills, am highly self-motivated, and am comfortable working independently or as a team member.

"Listening to Jan play her therapeutic harp when she visits the Mother/Baby Unit is always a pleasure. I look forward to hearing her beautiful music during my stressful day. It's very relaxing and soothing. The staff and patients love hearing her play, especially when she plays lullabies for the babies."

On a personal note, Jan is a lovely, caring, pleasant woman. She always has a smile on her face, no matter how busy we are. Jan is very passionate about her music, which shows by how she plays. The staff and I hope she can continue to grace us all with her exceptional talent." -Kathy
